I don't know if I can keep it yet, but at my dad's house (he's a roommate to someone) I found a barrel in the basement. I will get pic's later, but I'll describe it for now. It's an 8in. barrel, and has long (4in.) oval shaped ports on four sides of the barrel. Near the front of the barrel (first 2 inches) are a series of winding small hole ports, ten holes per series. There are two series of holes on the front. The barrel is painted black, and the threads are 1/4 in. long, and tightly threaded. There is about an inch of nothingness before the threads on the barrel. I will have pic's later, but for now, that's all I can describe. If you can identify this barrel, It'd be much appreciated.

sounds like a front of a kit if its only 8 inches, and since the threads start after only a 1/4 inch of the back of the barrel,
my spyders are like 1/2 inch
and the angel's are like 3/4 to an inch
i just got the redz pepper sticks kit and those threads start pretty close to the back
as for indentification, beats me
it just sounds like a front

Definitely sounds like part of a two piece, I'm sorry, but I'm not getting any ideas from your description, I'll wait for the pictures.

Sorry, it's hard to describe a barrel in words, but the threading itself is 1/4in. long, and it starts at about 4/5in. into the barrel.

Sounds like cocker threading, its 1/4 inch in length and starts rather far in, post up a pic and i can tell you or direct you to a place that can.

tippmann stock barrels are 8.5 inches, that might be it?

98 threads are a lot larger and farther spaced then and it doesn't sound like that is the case in the description, but the length seems to be correct.

AH! My dad just got home, and I had him take a look at the barrel. He showed me some drill marks, so ignore the 4in. oval ports, they're custom done. So the barrel itself is an 8in. black barrel with the last 2 inches of the barrel covered in spiral port holes. (10 port holes per series, 2 series) Any information off of that?

possibly a stock tippmann barrel.

I dont think so, the stock tippmann barrel has porting like going in a lin from the front to 2 inches in all the way around, and the threads are nothing like what he is discribing, post a picture of the barrel and a close up of the threads.

@Mugen: Nope, not sure what it is.
Just realized that the card reader is at my dad's work, so no pictures. I'll look into the stock tippman barrel, and check if it's anything like it. Even if it is a POS barrel, it's free, no problem with anything that's free.

theres a slight problem if it does 50 degree curves when you use it.

True true... It doesn't work well either, I took it back home to my mom's, and hooked it up to my spyder. It's spyder threads. It makes the gun louder, and doesn't have good accuracy at all. I'll still try to get pics, but it's not lookin' good for pics.
