Can't decide what gun to get..please help

Hey, i shot my friends nova gun, it soo cool. I decided that im gonna get into paintball. Anythings i should know before i start? what kind of good should i get (semi prefreliably)? Thnx alot...

You should stick to these brands
~Tippmann
~Spyder
~PMI Piranha

Those right now are the best low end semi-auto guns...do alot of research before you buy. Dont be afraid to ask questions either.

stick to those three
in choosing between them just get the one u like the feel and look of best

they r pretty much the same in performance

try them all out and get the one u like best

hint: when trying them out try, a stock one of each to get the most accurate 'feel' of each, then u won't like one better which u might only like better because it had better upgrades on it

It will depend partly on what kind of games you will play as well. For speedball, you may want a Spyder type to start out with. They are lighter than the Tippmann and parts are everywhere. If woodsball is going to be more your thing, the Tippmann may be a better bet. Tippmanns are very durable and very dependable.

How are these guns? which one would u recommed?

Well, since you've apparently read my thread, you already know that I'm going to advise a Shutter. BTW, the Java ones also come in black. You can get them for $160 now, and they shoot great. Go check out www.paintballgear.com, I think that's the site they have them for $160 on.

I'd get a Pirahana. If i could start paintball over again I'd get a VF fishie, a barrel, and leave it alone, spend money on paint. But whatever.

Which one is lighter? Which one is more dependable?
does any of them have expansion chamber or light triger?

I would keep the tippmann in mind too, it is practically indistructable and is very reliable. A bit heavy but one can manage.

I say if your gonna buy a shutter. save up 30 more bucks and buy a spyder flash. Same thing but with an Electronic trigger.

how come no one has mentioned the Xtra
they r cheaper than the shutter and have vert feed
the reg on the shutter is not good
get an Xtra and buy an aftermarket reg or stock cocker reg

Gives you extremely short trigger pull, and on some guns (Angel, etc.) has modes for semi-auto, burst, turbo, and fully auto shooting.

The best gun for thr money is the M3 Black Dragun,,i shot one of these at the Madi Gras Open in New Orleans. It was great,,no one can shoot more paint ,,NO ONE!! NOT an Angel Not an Elect.Cocker Not a EMag.. The gun was awesome!!

Oh no! Another newbie lost to Spyder hell........... ;) Sorry, I love those Tippmanns.
You can get a decent barrel in the $30 to $40 dollar range like the Lapco Bigshot, J & J, or CP. Dye makes great barrels, but the difference in price isn't worth any more performance you might get IMHO.
