ok, so a while ago a friend of mine brought up the topic and got me interested in this sport again after a bit of a hiatus. (Thank you vaypourus!) Now, so as to not ask the typical noob questions i actually searched around on the net, ran through some of your back threads etc. and did a little research. I have decided that i will prob. end up purchasing a tippman 98 custom as my first marker.

I have seen many excellent posts on the pro' s and con's of the 98c in general but i wanted to get a little more detailed information on the package i have seen around, the 98c "sniper" from what i can tell (and plz correct me if i am wrong on any of this) this is just the standard 98c with the following additions: remote, spiffy stock, and flatline system.

In general that is allso how i would like my system to end up, but wondered if buying it togeather like this would be beneficial in any way as opposed to just trying to buy the parts piecemeal and assembleing it myself.

Any feedback would be helpfull to this would-be player.

I think it's cheaper just to buy the 98c sniper, 'cause the stock will run you 'bout $70-$80 buy itself.
The Flatline is about $90-$100 buy itself. And a remote is usually $30-$60.

I'd say buy the 98c sniper.

I owned the sniper system and hated it. its Big, long, and kinda heavy. the remote almost ALWAYS gets in the way in woods games (snags on trees and such). the CAR stock makes the sight rail useless unless you can get a raised sight rail to rasie your sight about oh well......3-4 inches! And plus, PLEASE don't tell me you want it cuz it looks like a replica M-16 or AR15 or any of that ****. oh, and it is a greater value to buy the full system instead of piece by piece (the total system is like 250-300$ but, buying piece by piece can go up too 600$ depending on where you buy it)

brad85 is right ;) dont get the tippmann "sniper" because it is heavy long and unmanigable in a game plus the remote is worthless and gets in the way and the flatline sucks ballzez:o
