You can mount it straight into the valve with a bit of work and the right fittings. But you will most likely destroy your valve once a little toruqe is put on the regulator.

You would be much better off buying a male stabalizer and a verticle adapter for the 98. They are quick to put in, and very sturdy.

Like all the other guys said, just buy a male stab. They will probably work better and they are around the same price.

If they give you a hastle switching it you could always mount it coming out of the side of your ASA horozontaly, and run your steel braded up from there. I have seen that done a few times. It looks a little wierd, but I don't imagine it being in the way. But if they will exchange it I would definitlty go with the exchange and the mount it from a vert adapter.

Im sure it wouldnt be to hard to install, and I think you just screw it in where the hose is. Im not sure though, Ive never installed one.

no, not with the direct, you can do it with the inline.

the airflow is completely different w/ the direct, if you put it by the asa... bye bye stab. :) i ran the inline from my uni for a good while :)

nofx, you need a vertical adapter in conjunction with the male stabilizer for it to work with your gun.

Er... the direct version goes on the little hole infront of the trigger, does it not?

I think I'd like this more because I don't really life the front grip on the 98, I end up holding the steel wire...

Would it be good for me?

You are joking right?

The total install time on the vert adapter for the 98c is about 15 min. It will take you longer to drive there than it will to install it yourself.

- Split your gun apart and clean it.

- Remove the power tube from the reciever half.

- Using a wrench, remove the steel braded line from the bottom of the valve.

- Place a drop of blue loc-tite on the threads to the vert adapter and thread it into the powertube.

-Re-fasten the power tube with vert adapter to the reciever half, and align the vert adapter with the body so it fits in there nice. (quicker the better, the loc-tite cures pretty quick)

- Re-assemble your reciver halfs, with only the power tube and the vert adapter, and the nuts for your bottom line inside.

- Clean off the old teflon from the threads on the steel braded line.

- Place a drop of blue loc-tite on the threads and screw them into the 90 degree fitting on the palmers.

- Screw the palmers into the vert adapter ASA.

- Fasten your bottom line to the gun and let the loc-tite cure for about 5 min.

- Test for leaks by screwing your tank on to your bottom ASA (in the event of a leak, dis-assemble, clean, and re-apply loc-tite as nessary).

- Remove the power tube screws and loc-tite them in once you are sure the system is leak free.

- Split your gun apart, lubricate and install the rest of the internals.

Yeah the installtion will probably be easy, but if your still having trouble you can take it to your local proshop.
