Hey Everyone,

I just bought a used A-5 and im having a problem. When I fire a round it shoots correctly but another ball comes of of the barrel and drops to the ground. Would this be an issue within the cyclone. Im new to the sport and not sure what to really look at. The A-5 is stock except for a Flatline and im running co2. The cyclone seems to turn fine, Could it just be out of adjustment and if so how do you readjust. Thanks for any help

sounds like your ball latch (the little orange rubber thing that holds the ball in the chamber) shot out or it fell out when you were cleaning it. If it fell out when you were cleaning it, look around that area, it might still be there. If it shot out, good luck finding it. Go to a paintball shop or go to a field that rents tippmanns (98 or A-5 the part is the same) they might have a few laying around.

Thanks for the help. I just bought the gun used and havent taken it fully apart yet, maybe that piece is missing because I don't see anything holding the ball in the chamber.

You were right on the money, The ball latch was missing.

If the ball can just roll out of the chamber then the ball latch is definitely your problem. You might just want to buy an A-5 parts kit and be done with it.
