i heard that New Designz came out with their own full flow verticle adapter. Do you have to retapp your hole with this one too? Is it hard to install? Which one works better, the VooDoo or the New Designz? How much does it cost compared to the VooDoo? Im looken to buy one of them. help me out. thanx

There is no tapping involved, just yesterday Me and FOM did a step by step how-to that will be on www.impyowners.com this coming week, I will have pictures and list all tools needed, I think they are $3 dollars more expensive, but if you dont wanna tap your marker, this is the way to go. From what we are told they work the same, I can not verify this at this time but I should have some tests done this week as well. It took us like 30 minutes to do it, that includes taking detailed photo's and dealing with customers.

The install is very easy (if you can mout a vertical adapter you can do one of these) The "Trick" to the New designz it a vented grub screw. basicly when you remove the "locating screw" on the botom of the body (under the vertical adapter if you have a vertical adapter.)

New Desingz furnished a much longer screw. 2/3 of the screw are not tapped. This goes up into the transfer port. in about the middle of the screw is a small port, and the secew its self is hollow to the edge of this port. (I know - should have a pic-- but Johnney took all the pic!)

The bottom line is you screw in this specail screw and it plugs the transfer port Plus gives you the decicated passage to the Solonoid chamber

As with the VFF from VooDoo, the gun shoots at higher veloicity. This means its more effeicent and requires less dwell. Like the VFF, the bolt seems to travel faster and has a "snappy" feel to it. We ran the pressure down to 90 psi, and had not bolt stick at all.

While I don't think the "plug" is 100%-- I'm sure there is some leakage-- it dosn't apper to be enought to make any difference in preformance.

Will WE switch to the "tapless type mount? NO, but we can install the grub screw very quickly. It should be noted that the ND/VFF CAN be used with the "old fassion" tap and grubscrew. In fact, when we put the N/D on in the shop, we will use the old methoed. But for the fokes that don't want to tap, this gives 99% of the same preformance advange as the VFF.
