What do all of these mean?
I know tippmanns and other lower end gun are open bolt blow back, but i dont understand how the way they shoot is different from the way a DM or a shocker shoots besides the fact that DMs and shockers are faster

Kick, speed, some other things that I can't think of as of right now.

Lazy answer - look at the paintball dictionary in the new players forum.

Open bolt means that when a marker is ready to fire the bolt is in the open position at the breach allowing paintballs to fall in freely. Closed bolt means that the bolt is forward cutting off paintballs from being fed until the firing cycle commences. Blowback is a function of a marker where excess air from the valve recocks the marker.

Check out www.warpig.com they might have some more info for you there.
Electropneumatic guns do not rely upon springs to drive the bolt or hammer forward. Nor is the firing mechanism mechanical, as in the trigger does not physically release the sear. Instead the trigger sends an electric signal telling the solenoid (an electronic valve basically) to release air which drives the bolt forward, and then air is released through the bolt to fire the paintball.
(If I'm wrong somebody will correct me, but I'm at least close)

You forgot about cocking it back. Which EP's also use air for.
