I'm getting ready to upgrade my bolt. I've seen the Rufus Dogg @ 29.99$. The Shocktech Supafly @19.00$ and the Proteam Hyper-Star @ 19.99$. Are there any others out there I just didn't find? What would you get and why?

DOP power tube and bolt, it's the only aftermarket internals proven to work.

Don't waste your money man, the stock stuff is pretty much the best there is unless you think a marginal(at best) improvement is worth the extra cash. Save the money, use it for field fee and air.

I got the rufus bolt and the dop. Niether made a big impression on me...Let's just say that right now my marker has the stock bolt in it right now...A little paint matching and the use of HPA or if that's too expensive a X pansion chamber for C02 use goes a longggg way...

Sleepy cat, is there any reason why you did not like either bolt, did it make your gun louder, more inaccurate?...just curious.

I didn't say i didn't like them...Just not a big enough improvement to warrant buying one... The rufus dawg I had some problems with. The cyclone would not feed sometimes. I think it's a quality control issue in terms of the powertube not fitting properly in the marker and not giving the cyclone enough air to feed. I found though that with these bolts you could shoot softer shell paint, which in turn allows you to use high end paint in your A5...With my stock bolt I use a freak barrel and Ramapage and a rope balls. So to each his own... I bought to other bolts to see for myself and that's all I noticed was the paint usage issue, which is a plus because High end paint like evil and marbs will help alot in accuracy.

Here it is! (www.a5og.net/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=679&threadid=34&enterthread=y) That link comes in handy. ;)
BTW, it doens't matter if this is for a 98 or A-5.

As you can see the Rufus, DOP,shocktech w/ O-ring, and stock bolt had no breakages..And the Rufus/DOP/Shock w/O-ring have better spreads then the Stock bolt
Rufus by- .09 inches
DOP by- .51 inches
Shocktech Mark 2 w/O-Ring by- .03 inches
Everything else showed a drop in accuracy by at least 2 inches or greater so in conclusion to all this... The DOP if you MUST have a new bolt is the thing to buy...You results will vary, these results were controled with a bench grip for the marker....As for the other company's how the heck they make a "better" bolt for the A5 just to lose 2 inches + in accuracy is beyond me...Funny thing is Shocktech does just that with the Superfly, but then makes up for it with the Mark 2... lol

I find that the like ribs on the Rufus Dawg bolthelp to keep chopped paint out, Every time after it chops and i clean it, it will have most of the paint on the bolt.

You might need to lower the ROF or something your marker shouldn't be chopping at all, unless you use crap paint..Plus the ribs are meant to reduce friction on the bolt...The less of it touching the less friction...
