as much as i would like to bash brass eagle in this forum, i wont because i dont wanna get bann-hammered. i know that this is kond of old news, but for ne1 like me who doesnt stay up on who buys out who, Brass Eagle has bought our WGP. as a result of this new unholy matrimony of two companies, the the trilogy series was spawned. the trilogy is a stripped down autococker that brass eagle produced to make a huge profit off of junk. its got nothing that made the cocker series so great. its missing a 3-way, you have to buy more junk for it to add $230 e-balde, and they'er cheap, which has reduced the retail value of all other cockers out there to little more than half the original price. people buy the trilogy because its got a "WGP" sticker on it, and the people know wgp makes good guns. well that isnt the case here. brass eagle bought someones good name then turned it to crap. i hate the trilogy. but it where it belongs, in the junk pile, rite next to brass eagle.

i donno why are you so complaining, first of all, more expensive the "good autocockers" are still being sold,
you should be thankfull, trilogy is a way of briniging the high and mighty (and in my opinion heavily overpriced) autococker to your avg. player who wanted something better than an open bolt blow back like spyder(and all clones) or tippmann
lets face it there was a huge gap in between marker classes, for 50 to $200(anything over that was just low end and overpriced) you could get a really dependable marker but on the low end side, low end electronic, low end mechanical, introduction of ION for about $250 - 300 kinda made the market better but then anything better was over $400, and most people playing paintball 2 - 3 times a month just weren't going to invest that much money
Trilogy costs about 160 for the basic setup abd little more than 200 for the pro setup, that's good, you can still get an autococker for 500 bux no prob but now there is one for much less...
don't buy the trilogy if you think its crappy, get the 2005 Pro, its close to $400 i bet its much better.. but I think its great that people just getting into the sport have more more choice in markers.

Correction: K2 has bought out WGP
as a result of this new unholy matrimony of two companies, the the trilogy series was spawned. the trilogy is a stripped down autococker that brass eagle produced to make a huge profit off of junk.
Neither K2 nor BE were responsible for the Trilogy, that was Bud Orr's decision.
its got nothing that made the cocker series so great. its missing a 3-way,
Nope, it's just internal
you have to buy more junk for it to add $230 e-balde,
A $30 mounting bracket
and they'er cheap, which has reduced the retail value of all other cockers out there to little more than half the original price.
No, being old and outdated has killed the resale on cockers, the only exception are the Half-block and MQ'ed cockers.
people buy the trilogy because its got a "WGP" sticker on it, and the people know wgp makes good guns. well that isnt the case here. brass eagle bought someones good name then turned it to crap.
Once again, Bud Orr is the guilty one.
i hate the trilogy. but it where it belongs, in the junk pile, rite next to brass eagle.

Brass Eagle and WGP are both owned by K2, neither of the two paintball companies affect what the other does; WGP's production of the Trilogy is soley the responsibility of WGP.
Autocockers have for a long time had horible resale, they are, with the exception of MQ'ed and halfblocked cockers, outdated technology. Furthermore, they have a low maximum speed (due to the way the marker is designed) and high recoil (comparable or worse than a finely tuned Spyder) when achieving higher rates of fire due to the excessive weight of the moving internals. Nothing except the Autocockers oudated technology has contributed to there horrible resale.
And due to your lack of insight into the faults of the autococker, your attacks on BE, and your lack of knowledge about management I truly doubt that you own any paintball shop.

very good point,
and in addition to that, autocockers are rather complex markers compared to very simple spyder-like designs and even simpler tippmann design, but they are made well, 9 out of 10 times when someone bashes autococker quality is because either:
-he/she didn't maintain the marker properly and it broke
or
-he/she tried to upgrade the marker and didn't do it properly,
in both cases the user doesn't know how to fix their marker so they blame the company, and now its easier than ever, BE and WGP share the same owner, so it has to be BE's fault that the marker is bad.
this goes back to long argument about if BE markers are really bad or people basically give them a bad rap because at one point they owned a samurai or one of the other plastic BE markers it broke and they labeled the whole production line as a piece of crap
the only thing that BE should change is different advertising for their plastic models (like samuraid talon ect...) advising that those markers shouldn't be really used for serious play because they don't stack up to the other markers, but I can take any BE or VL marker like Orion, Avenger, Triton, Afterburner and Striker(which looks soo nice) or the VL Pro markers and light up the competition sensles!

I forget what gave me that impression...
This stuff has been discussed a lot in the WGP forums, there's just too little change in WGP's products to keep any but the hardcore enthusiasts from buying an Autococker.

even though brass eagle and wgp are owned by the same company that does not mean anything. the trilagy has nothing to do with brass eagle. and what right do you have calling brass eagle a junk company? brass eagle got me into the sport, i will never regret the day my dad bought me a brass eagle avenger 3. and the resale of cockers has always sucked, even before wgp was bought by k2. and if you want to tell everyone about how you hate the trilogy so much then write a review, go into the wgp forum. dont go saying brass eagles and now wgp are crap because they are owned by the same company.
