View Full Version : Squeegee Wreaking Barrel? What're the chances...

After a day of playing and some ball breaks and squeegeeing, I came home, was cleaning my gun and barrel, and realized that my squeegee had carved tiny grooves into the inside of my barrel. This was due to the sand on the playing field that had got on my squeegee. But enough of the story. I was shooting in my back yard today, and noticed that my accuracy had gone down a bit. It could be me, but I'm also wondering if it could be my barrel. What would it take to ruin a barrel, anyway? Are tiny scratches like the ones I discovered in my barrel capable of doing so?
Yeah, thanks...

Uh... sure. I didnt put a squeegee through my barrel that was completely covered in sand. I washed it off and then ran it through, but I dont think it was completely clean. Even after washing it several times, I'm still picking out tiny particles...
I dont know if it's harmless dust or whatever, but it's there and it's frustrating

I don't think that the squeegie itself put the scratches there....it was probably the paintballs catching the sand and tearing the barrel as the ball was pushed out...was it a Ss or aluminum barrel?

Not sure exactly - it's probably aluminum.
