what are the benefits of using the palmer stabalizer or any stabalizer with an a-5 running compressed air. Are the regulators of the tanks not consistent enough? What other additions to the stabalizer do you suggest?
thanks for the input.

The stabilizer is a vertical regulator and you should put a gauge on it so you can tell what pressure is going into your gun, the gauge on a preset tank tells what the fill pressure is. unless it is an adjustable tank, those have built regulators.

as long as we on the subject of the palmers stabilizer, how does it work with with CO2??

ok well I recomend you guys do searchess, this thing has been talked aobut a lot. But its actulay designed to take co2, and dose it well. ITs considered the best reg for co2 at current time, and a great one for HPA as well.

The main advantage would be an increase in consistancy. A regulator only does as good a job regulating the output pressure as the imput pressure is regulated. In other words, the more regulators you have inline, the more stable your output pressure will be. Bear in mind that you need a gap in the pressures being regulated. If you set your second reg at the same pressure as the first reg, all you are going to be doing is starving your marker for flow. IMO the increase you would see in performance would not be worth the money you shell out for the Stabalizer.

The Stabalizer works great with anti-siphoned CO2. But if your CO2 isn't anti-siphoned, liquid CO2 will run right through it just like an expantion chamber.

palmers stab works great with co2 wether it is anti siphoned or not.

i started using mine with co2, but when i got hpa i tore it down and rebuilt it with new orings... its really consistent over the chrono. -/+2

You don't need the guage for anything. On an A-5, you just set it up and forget that it's even there. It shouldn't need any maintnence for a few years.

I got the guage for mine beacuse I like the look of it.

if you have a gage, you could play with lowering the pressure into the marker. I have head some a-5's working right with as little as 650 PSI. Means you would get more shots out of your co2/hpa tanks. Is one of the reasons I want to get a stabalizer for my toy.
