The V.i.rt.u.e board (from here the V board) was just released for the 2006 style Ego's. Team Carnage has received the first 10 production boards and we just received them this last thursday. I thought that we could do the Ego community a service by writing a preliminary review.

First off when we pulled the tins out of the shipping container, I was impressed with the tin it comes with. So many times you receive a board in a badly packaged (in an astheic sense) box or a drab piece of carboard. Not this board, it's bright and well done. Not to mention it gives you a nice place to put your stock board!!
Installation: Super easy! Remove your trigger, remove the bottom metal button for the pad and take the board out and replace it...then your done! I am technically retarded but I was still able to do this easily!
LED'S: Super bright, super easy to use. While I do enjoy a LCD screen, I really enjoy what the V board presents. The programming is easy to do, the blinks are clear and are not super fast (like some boards I have used!). I think a BLIND man could program with this board.
Modes: Tons of em. Of course the breakout mode is tons of fun to use!
The Feel: This is the ABSOLUTE selling point for me. The microswitch gives a nice snappy feel to the trigger. The really nice thing is the 80g switch allows me to run w/o a spring. I can easily say I am pulling 2-3 bps faster. The microswitch is smooth and snappy. Granted, most of this is due to your trigger setup. But I feel that the microswitch allows you to more easily setup your trigger. You get almost INSTANT feedback as to how it feels (as opposed to the opti switch which you can change and feel no change!).
What really matters: With paint these boards rip! I more easily attain constant streams of paint, which again I think is microswitch. If you are looking to change out your stock board, the V board is the place to go. Throw it in and its ready to rip. Super EASY programming options, that a blind man could do.
The pictures (We'll get some videos later this week!)

If you have any specfic questions, please ask. I have tons of information from use, but wasn't sure how to incorporate it all!
