Would someone explain to me this PSI thing on HP and why you need regs for them. Also, what does a reg do in low pressure setups and if you don't have LP or HP then what good is a reg.:dunce:

PSI stands for Pounds per Square Inch. You find that on any thing that holds air or other pressurized things (tires, tanks, swimming pool filters) it indicates how much pressure something has.
A Reg is short for regulator, and like the name says it regulates how much pressure or current will be allowed to pass thru an opening or valve in a certain amount of time.
In paintball all HP setups (High Pressure) nitrogen or compressed air tanks have one of two different regs on them, either preset (fixed to one setting) or adjustable.
If you're running a low (LP) pressure marker you would want to be able to adjust the reg to the desired pressure that the marker required.
Hope this helps! ;)

what do you mean the pressure the gun runs on or whatever

every gun has an optimal PSI... such as usual blow-back markers run around 850 psi...and cockers and other closed bolts run about 300 or so.....basically is the amount of air needed to propell the ball.. only its compressed which is where regulators and such come in to allow only so much...aftter hp air tanks are kinda thick, thicker than some gun part walls... allowing all of the tank pressure to press against some parts would make them explode...thats why you need regs...regs on a lp system are the same as hp regs but allow only a maximum of usually 500psi where as hp regs allow over 500 psi for blow-back markers or "open-bolt"
