How does it work

I am inbetween buying a new barrel or not and was checking out the stiffi. I liked the sounds of it, but i dont want a fixed bore. I wanted inserts or something like the freak or scepter. Then i found the swithch kit, but noticed that they called them something else besides inserts. If anybody has the switch kit or even knows how it works, please let me know!!!!!!!
and any info on which of these three barrels is best? stiffi, scepter, or freak.:D :D :eek:

I'd say the best out of those 3 is the stiffi kit, then the scepter, then the freak. The stiffi's interchangeable breech sizers are just like barrel backs or inserts.

how hard is it to unscrew it from an ion? I"ve heard horror stories that you have to use wrenches and stuff

It's possible that the stiffi kit could give you problems on the ion since the threads are not at the very front of the gun. I can't tell you first hand, but if you're worried, get a Scepter or CP Kit.
