I'm very new to electronic guns,I have seen some of you talk about dwell/dwelling. I was wondering what this is and what it does, and how can I adjust it. Please inform me on all I will need to know about dwelling so that when I recieve my impulse I will know all I need to know.

(other newbies as I please use this to your advantage)----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, Dwell is the thing that adjusts how long the solenoid supplies the air that switches the hammer back and forth, thus determining how long the valve stays open. If you set it too long, it will go lower pressure, but ineffieciency will skyrocket. Set it short, great efficiency, but it wont be the lowest pressure. If you dont know all about the solenoid, here goes:
the solenoid is a small electronic valve. When you pull the trigger, an electrical "impulse" (several volts of electricity) are sent to the solenoid. This moves the piston inside, thus supplying air to the hammer. The hammer piston is moved by this force of air, and it, connected to the bolt, moves forward, striking the valve. It strikes harder the higher your pressure is. Now, only milliseconds or so after the valve is opened, thus propelling the ball out of the barrel, another few volts are sent to the solenoid. This reverses the piston, which in turn reverses the airflow to the hammer. This air is used to push back the hammer and bolt, thus closing the valve. That is essentially the fireing cycle. On the Impy, you adjust the dwell on an adjuster pot on the right side (looking from the back) of the solenoid tray. The post does not have a 360 degree rotating thingy, so dont turn it too far. they are also not calibrated, so 9:00 on mine might be the same as 2:00 on yours. On guns with lcd you usually adjust it with a button on the grip, and can see what number (of milliseconds) yours is set too
