I just recieved my 05 Ego and i took the bolt out to oil it and i notice it has no o-rings or a slot for the o-rings, is this a different bolt or is it messed up? and when putting the bolt back in i can still push it all the way forward, is it supposed to be like this? i can push it all the way forward and all the way back so i think its in the rammer, as opposed to when i put the bolt all the way forward and push the pin down how it can only go so far back as to hit the rammer, and does PE not give you the right allen key for the rammer cap aswell? thanks. ohh and also, i put a squeege into the feedneck and fired a few shots without air and my Eye icon went frmo (.) to [ except the [ is upside down, is this normal because its not aired up or is something wrong with my eyes?
The eye mode change means that the board thinks your eyes have failed... after all, you are shoving a SQUEEGEE in the breech... and the baord expects a gap in the breech after each shot.
Little tip, don't do it. If you want to dryfire with air use training mode. Full-cycling like that without paint can damage your rammer, bolt pin, and detents over time if done often.:)
As for the bolt, all the new ones do not require O-rings, so you are fine. Just about every Ego comes that way nowadays, and for the most part people consider it to be an improvement (maybe 50 shots less per tank, at most, but maintainence is just a bit easier with one only having to wipe off the bolt if something happens in between games, and not worry about fetching oil...)
As for the bolt, to check if it is inserted right, push the bolt all the way foward (kinda hard), then let go. It should push back maybe a centimeter or so. If it does this, you are good. If not.. try putting the bolt back in again, dammit. :P
Another good way to check is to push your bolt foward before gassing up the marker. When you gass it up, the bolt should fly back to the cocked position. If it doesn't, then that means it's not connected to the ram.
Yet another way to tell if it's not hooked up right is if you are easily able to push the bolt foward when the marker is gassed up.

alright, well i dont have any air currently and about what you said dry-firing, i wasnt dry-firing my tank wasnt hooked up at all because i have no air, but i get what your saying about here being no gap inbetween, alright well thanks, i'll probably run and get some paint tomorrow or something and get my settings all setup, One last question, do i need to lube the bolt itself at all or is it fine becuase there are no o-rings?
The bolt works best with no oil at all. Just wipe it clean when you're done playing for the day. :)

Alright, thanks, and ive encountered another problem, my Halo wont fit in the feedneck :( i unscrewed the top part all the way and had to twist the Halo into the feedneck but it sorta shredded part of the feedneck on the Halo :( any idea why this is like this? or should i just try the silver Accent kit that i got with it? thanks again.
It will do this regardless, as the stock Halo feedneck is too large for almost all feednecks.
Sand down the Halo's feedneck a little with sandpaper, and you should be golden.

Does the last Shim on the Ego go in like ( or like )? because i was lubing my HPR / LPR just incase and the last shim fell out off the HPR, thanks.

It should go the opposite of what was below it. I should know if it should be concave or convex, but I'm too tired to think.
[Example, if the last shim was ( then the next would be ) and if the last shim was ) then the next would be ( ]
I believe there are 16 shims, right? They should look like this:
)()()()()()()()(

yeah, i was looking through the manual and saw the little diagram on the page for the HPR, and it shows what way they go. and also im just curious, how many cases / shots do you guys reccommend before lubing the HPR / LPR and greasing the rammer?
Nah Eff, I have my shims in:
()()()()()()()()
Like that, so I guess since yours works like that it doesn't really matter. Sweet.
About the Halo-feedneck issue, after a couple times of forcing it in there, it will fit fine and you won't even need to sand it. But you can still sand it if you want. either way works.
And about the bolt: Mine, out of the box, had oil (not lube) on it. It also recommends in the manual to oil it, but maybe that's just some weird British thing :P. It is unnecessary.

ase - I do believe that one is supposed to be open at the top and bottom.
I know it looks like that in the illustrated diagram (in the manual), but in the actual picture the British guy has his like mine. I'm getting another one by probably weekend after this one, so I'll let you know how they come stock.

Don't really want to spam the forum so...
Does the EGO have a training mode? I'm wondering because that would be awsome.
