There are major three types of feeds in paintball, the orientation of these feeds will dtermine the position of the hopper (loader) on the paintball gun.
Standard or Right Hand Feed - Puts the hopper on the right side of the gun. If you are right handed this may cause the hopper to be the first thing to be exposed when you round a corner, but it really isn't a problem when you think about it... you're head should be right behind the hopper anyway, and if it isn't, then you're "blind-shooting" and thats illegal. Best used on Closed bolt guns (this includes Pumps, Autocockers, etc.)
Vertical - The hopper is directly above the center of the marker, with neither preference to the left or right side.
Found on almost all brands of gun.
Power Feed - commonly found on blow-back markers (Spyders & Spyder clones, etc.) these feed tubes position the hopper on the left side of the gun, and are vented to reduce "blow back" air that goes up the tube when the gun is fired.

There are three ways to mount your power source (CO2 Cartridges, CO2 Tanks or N2 Tanks) to your gun.
Back Bottle - Screws directly into the ASA at the back of the gun, like in the Maverick.
Vertical - Screws vertically onto the gun in front of the grip frame.
Bottomline - Screws horizontally into an ASA on the base of the grip frame.
A remote on a Pump, wether it be Maverick or SL-68, is rather pointless as pumps run very well in cold weather because the are not under the same operating pressure as guns with higher rates of fire.
I'd go with the Maverick over the SL-68, the Maverick has an easier break down and also takes Trracer threaded barrels.
