are there a written set of conduct or game rules somewhere?
from field to field everyone kind of makes up thier own rules on what a hit is.... some refs say paint the size of a nickle, some say paint the size of a quarter ect....
is there a standard somewhere? here are some rules we use
1. If you touch someone with the barrel of your gun they are considered out... this is considered the ultimate burn on another team.
2. If you are within 10 feet of another player and capable of a kill shot, you have to ask for surrender or die.
3. We use paint the size of a quarter as the standard.
4. no physical contact with other players, except barrels.
5. 10 years old to play with guardian playing.. 12 years old to play alone...

i think the insurance company had set some of these up, but they have become modified over time......

Not all fields have insurance. It's a fact of the game.

Here is a link to the tourney rules.....That's all there is. Otherwise like a lot of sports it is pretty much house rules apply.

Good luck.....
