i was just wondering if an ion could run on co2 or just compressed air

well it could but it would be better to use compressed air in the long run because c02 is liquid so it will wear away the seals in the ion faster than nitro or compressed air.

It won't run on straight C02, but if its A'S'd it works fine so long as you aren't capping the board or shooting long ropes.

After prolonged periods of use, even a/s co2 will eventually wear out the soleniod. Overall, for well under $100, getting air is not really a hard to come by these days.

Iron, it is in quite a few cases, i can barely get mom to drive me the 35 miles to the HPA filler, other people i know have to drive an hour or more, its a lot more efficient...

Ion + Normal CO2 = You will end up looking like this :pissed:

Well thankfully, when you use co2 (a/s or not) and break the ion soleniod, Smart Parts will keep sending you new ones until your warrenty's up.

The ION will run on CO2 as long as you have an anti-siphon tube installed, it says that in the ION manual.

So says the manual. But manuals can be full of hoo-hah, like in the M98 manual it says to screw in the velocity screw all the way before you disassemble the marker. Why is that necessary? /example. Co2 + solenoids = busted noid.

Fixed. ;)
An A/S will NEVER let liquid Co2 into a gun if used properly.

Vapor and liquid co2 alike is just too cold, noids cant handle it for long.

My noid has been happy for a while now. We shall see how long it goes without trouble. I expect that to be a very long time.

We all know that all guns run better on hpa, but not everyone has access to an hpa fill station.
