I am interested in getting a Pirahna STS or a Rebel LE. I am totally new to the paintballing world outside of going recreationally a couple of times. Can y'all give me your opinions as to which gun is better, why, and which accesories i should pick up (i hear a new barrel is important, but which?!?!)

Also, where can i find something like a newbie FAQ?

naw, every case is differant, some people want speed, and all differant, i would recomend the pirhna VTL, a pmi PE regulator, and an STS sight rail, it's a nice setup that no one else on the field is likely to have

if your new at paintball i'd rec. that you just get a spyder 2k.but if you want a better gun to start out with i'd go for a java ed. 2 in 1 compact 2k.then just get upgrades for it liike bottom line, some might argue but a carbon fiber barrel made by 32º and a regulator.that might all add up to be more then a sts or something but you already got upgrades on it.+ new bolt and crap like that and you'll have a better gun for like a half the price.that is saying you get upgrades for the sts.just my opi.

This is a tough question to answer. It all depends on your taste, your level of experiance, How much you want to spend, and what you plan to do with your gun/ what your prefer on a gun

As they have said Spyders are a safe choice for someone new to paintball, they are great guns and can easily be customized- I would avoid Rebels. The pirahna is also an excellant choice for someone new, it excepts most spyder parts including barrels.

As far as getting a Spyder, I would recommend that you get a Spyder TL+. Its a good gun stock (except the barrel as all guns go). Though potentially and barrel is good as long as you have a good paint to match it.

I recommend you check on which paint is most easily available to you, find out the bore size and then get a barrel that goes well with that paint - Or if you have the money you can get a Freak barrel system.

My First gun was a Talon, stingray and then an Autococker which is an EXCELLANT Gun short of going electronic, but it can be difficult to learn (Thats what proshops are for). The Cocker is in my opinion the most customizable gun you can buy.

crud, I could go on and on but I dont have time.Let me know how much you want to spend and Ill give you better suggestions.

i seriously suggest checking out the newest line of piranhas

the newest piranha pro has a pmi reg and a d/f on it and it is center feed which is always a plus

my first gun was a piranha when they first came out with them it always worked great and i never had any probs with it i sold it to my friend who is still using it and he loves it and he never had any probs with it

i dont like spyders because the quality of manufacture is not the best and ive seen a fair share where the powerfeed broke off
