Hey, I have a Pimp and am gonna get either a Ghetto board or a WAS equalizer board and was wanting to get some info on both of them such as where I can get them, features in detail, pros and cons and all that good stuff. I can get them for only a 5 buck difference so price difference isn't really an issue. If you own one them please tell me everything you know about it and what you like/don't like about it,thanks:)

i would get the was just for the fact that the firmware is upgradable and the 7.0 isn't and u don't have to open the grip frame to change settings on the was

How do you change the settings on the WAS?

WAS is all by trigger i believe, dont have to press the dwell buttons like for ghetto. And as stated, WAS allows u do update with new versions. And WAS also has more Debounce options.. about the only difference, besides the color :P

I heard you had to use an Equalink to change it but I may be wrong, if thats the case then anyone know where I could possibly get one? Only place I've seen so far is the WAS website for 50 bucks so anyone who knows where to get it cheaper, please advise. Also if you don't press the dwell buttons like the ghetto then how do you adjust it with the trigger?? I would just like to know as much about bnoth of them as I can. I can get the ghetto for 87 and the WAS for 84 new( not including shipping) so if anyone also knows where to get one for cheaper that'd be awesome. Thanks

check www.bosspaintballproducts.com

The WAS may have to be fine tuned with the dwell buttons, im not exactly sure since i havnt used it and dont know any1 around here with it. The equalink is a cable hookup to download new software and updates.

Thank you, that was where I found the boards in the first place though lol. If anyone else has any more info on either of the board please tell me what you know about them.

I went back and forth on this too. To be honest there isn't much difference in terms of perfomance between them. The main difference is as mentioned before about being able to set the board up on the WAS without taking the grip off. You set it using the trigger and the LED's. The WAS can be upgraded with the Equilink cable, but that is seperate and costs about $50. I ended up going with the Ghetto because I knew I wouldn't change settings too much and didn't mind taking off the grip to do it. I also live in the Tampa area and figure I can get Evil to flash my Ghetto when they come to town for the NPPL events if needed. If you aren't close to an event that might be a deciding factor. Though I doubt you will need it upgraded much.

Boss' forums have several posts (including mine) about the differences. That might help you too.
