Hi. I just have a quick question about bore sizes. I'm shooting an open bolt marker so I was wondering whether or not bore sizing will have any effecy or accuracy and what not.
Thanks.

well sizing the paint to bore helps out with accuracy. But buying lets say a .691 stiffi for your gun, wont make a dramatic difference in accuracy with different size paints. Bores are meant for closed bolt mostly, since that is what holds the ball so it doesnt role out, as to where open bolts dont have that problem bc of the detents.

And since your sig says cocker, thats a closed bolt gun which a barrel kit would be a great thing.

Well the purpose of the diffent bore sizes on barrels is because its used to match the size of the paintballs. Basically, paintball sizes vary so paint to bore match is essential. So by buying a barrel kit, it would help out the accuracy of ANY marker greatly.

A kit will help improve effciency and is critical on markers such as an autococker where the barrel stops holds the ball in place and the detents stop the double feeding. If you use a barrel that has a bore too big the balls will roll down the barrel and you will either shoot a blank or a paintball that goes several dozen feet.

An open bolt marker's detents hold the ball in place and prevent double feeding so unless you want more effciency or are unhappy with your barrel I say KEEP IT.

Depends on what paint you use.
