You also have the problem of chopping paint. they don't chop a whole lot, but when you put the barrel you have to recalibrate so that the backspin is straight up and not a little to the side. They may have fixed this problem for the M98, but it is a pain for older flatlines.

Well I am not a big fan of the Flat line either. It shoots far but on one of my friends guns it curves up 7 feet after 100-120 feet. But man... at least to shoot 300 ft you dont got to aim up a foot ;) Yeah it shoots way far... maintness(SPELLInG AHHH!!!) wise it can be a pain. But my custom products seems to be more acurate in my opinion at the range that it has. (Again my opinion) If you love to be a very long range sniper this might be for you. But for me... I die if I had the Flatline!

I think it is about time one of the mods made a sticky out of one of these!

My flatline has excellent range AND good shot grouping. I can hit a styrofoam cup with an orange on top without jiggleing the orange from 75ft. away!:drop: I'm not trying to brag:wink2: but I'm just trying to say its pretty good.

Sup Term. Ill admit the flatline shoots very far. But one of my friends who does have it, when he shoots it it curves like 5-10 feet up after 120 ft. Also I can see were you might like it... but it might only be good if you are a black player in my perspective!

Shutter, are you some kind of paintball racist? Seriously, just because someone is black doesn't mean they are going to like Flatline barrels. That is pretty messed up man.

Oh gesh sorry guys!!!:( I meant that the Flatline is good for BACK players because it has great range but it is big and not super accurate at the closer ranges in my opinion!Back is what I meant to say sorry about!:o

Hey ya'll are definatly right about the range and accuracy. Heres another thing to think about...... What the heck do you do if you break a ball!!!!????? As far as I know you aren't exactly going to squeeegie that thing out witt out a few tools in the field, but i don't have one so if you know than feel free to prove me wrong.

Ok, if a ball breaks, then there is a nice feature on the 98 that will let you run a pull trough squeege through the barrel w/o taking it off. Tilt your gun to the side so the paintballs roll back into the hopper. Then press down the front sight. When you press down the front sight, it unlocks the elbow catch allowing you to tilt the hopper down on it's hinges. Then run your pull through squeege down the barrel. Then flip the hopper back up and tag some more people. Total proscess takes me 5-6 seconds. You can also flip the hopper back up faster by holding the rear grip and with a flick, rotate your wrist to the left and back to nuetral real quick like. Doing this might take some time at first, but with time, you will be able to do it very quickly. (The whole proscess, not the flick.)

You will get a very good idea of what a Flatline is capable of after reading this... http://www.pbreview.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37686

I have a flatline barrel, and quite frankly, Im not impressed. I wanted that barrel more than anything for my gun, and my mom gave me $150 to get stuff online for Christmas, I picked that and a raised sight rail. I couldn't wait until Christmas, I opened it that morning, and ran to my room and tighted it down, fiddled with it, took it out back and started plinking. It had xcellent range, but you cant hit the broadside of a barn with it at any range over that of your stock barrel. I guess what I'm really trying to say is, great in theroy, not so great in practice, Im gonna buy my a J&J 12" in a few days to replace it. I want to sell my Flatline for $100 (its only had 400 paintballs run through it) Its also extreemly finicky about paint, I cant afford to buy a case of marbablizer every weekend, and the Team Colors and ProBall I usually use, just dont like it. well thats my $.02. Just remember before you put down the $100 dollars for the barrel, borrow it from somebody for a coupla weekends, and figure out how much you really like it. I just dont like it $109 dollars (plus shipping!) worth.
