Everyone is going to say Ion, but between those two, I would say to save some more money and get a "real" electro or a "real" cocker.:)

If you absolutely need one right now, I would recomend the trillogy comp 'cocker.

Do you have hpa, and a ok hopper, if yes get an ion, but if your running co2, and dont have very much money, since you just play rec either one will work.

Give him a break. The Ion is a great marker, but you need the HPA and good hopper. If you don't have those, then look into a cocker because they won't need a fast hopper. The ProStock's and Trilogy Pro's are both nice markers. The reason i don't like the Imagine is because my friend had one and it wasn't the greatest. I would say go WGP if you don't have hopper and nitro, but go Smart Parts if you do. My :twocents: .

You don't "need" a fast hopper for an ion. It has eyes, so a shake-and-shoot will perform better on an ion than on a blind gun. HPA, however, is a must.

If you're just starting out, I would recommend just getting a cheap spyder or Tippmann, an anti syphoned co2, and a revy. If you can afford more than that, definately get an Ion + cheap HPA tank, and worry about hoppers and barrels later.

Ion's aren't worth it if you don't have the hopper. It won't shoot to it's full potential at all.

this guy didnt even mention the ion;) out of your choices the imagine is better IMO its the best beginner gun IMO very simple works great off co2 and is electric for a little speed just buy a revvy or something close to that. Cockers are great guns BUT the one you have in your poll only has a 1 1/2 trigger which i personally hate.If you buy a trilogy at least get the pro :)

Edit-theres your break nexxus

An Ion shooting below its potential is still better than any blind gun shooting at its full potential. I'd rather shoot a dm6 with a VL200 than a low-end with a revy. And, he'll eventually have enough money to get a new loader, and the end product will be much better than anything involving a mech trilogy.

autocockers are confusing and hard to maintain, go with the imagine you will be confused enough. but if you want to get better and in tourneys and the like get an ion, they are cheap and very good and very upgradable

Cockers arn't that hard to maintain. A little bit of timing every case or so (for me, which is near 2 days of play) some oil in the VA and it's all good. Also, for most people, once you see a visual animation of the workings of a cocker, they become very clear.

Ion's aren't worth it if you don't have the hopper. It won't shoot to it's full potential at all.

I'd rather spend this...
$250 for an Ion
$60 for an Egg
$200 for a good tank

...Then...

$60 for an Imagine
$45 for an adjitating hopper
$60 for a cheap tank
then later get the ion and egg and a good tank. You will just end up wasting $160 in stuff that you will not use or not use often.

if u already have a nitro tank and a good hopper go with an Ion, if not buy a '04 vert feed cocker

I'm sorry to dissagree with half the people on these forums, but here it goes.

They made some serious advancements from the '04 to the '05. This includes a lighter, derlin backblock and bolt, shorter style bolts (I think), better pneumatics, a trigger frame that is slightly easier to pull, a removeable neckfeed, and an adjustable reg. The only thing the '04 wins over the '05 is the looks IMO.:)
