Meh - to be honest. The Linear is ugly; the Progressive and Freaks aren't too bad, but the elimination of the Teardrop hurts.

I don't understand the point of the linear. They eliminated the teardrop and basically turned the progressive into one and made the linear to fill in where the progressive was.

I read that Smart Parts said it was useless to sell 2 barrels that are the same, so they combined the 2 and re-released it as the Progressive, but with the teardrop ports, they should call it the Teardrop.... the Linear is super Ugly... the others are ok looking.

Yea, I think that was a bad move for smartparts.

I like the new Freak backs but not the new Freak fronts.

Because they had to market a barrel that performs pretty much the same as a progressive.

But from what I've seen the Linear is on par with the older Progressives and Teardrops. So from my eyes they've done nothing but go into a full circle. Before it was Progressive = styled Teardrop, now it is Linear = styled Progressive with both sides of each equation performing the same.

I actually like the look of the linear. Guess I'm the only one. Maybe cause it kinda looks like my Pipe.
The all american looks hella better than it did before.
The new progressive...its funky. It looks like somebody stretched out a 7.62 missle pod from a russian Hind.
meh....I still won't own a SP barrel tho. But yeah, they do look better.

 Yes it does! I'm surprised that you even thought of that comparison.

lol yeah, I was on SP's site yesterday, or day before....sometime recent. a guy had posted about some stickers on some pods that he'd seen. And I was trying to find what he was talking about, for him.
I saw that tip, and had pods on my mind...and thats the very first thing I thought of. Rocket/Missle Pod.
whoah....I just now noticed. the backs on the AA. It's got a stairstep or shingle design there inside the oval. that's kinda cool lookin'.

The new AA looks pretty cool, but I am still going to stick with my old design AA. Its not like they shoot any better.

hahaha yeah, I agree! Even if it was from a barrel that I use, I wouldnt go out and buy a new barrel just because they changed the look.
Still tho, the new looks of them does make them even more eye candy. SP has always had pretty good marketing strategy.

Yea, its pretty pointless to go out and buy the same barrel that you already have just because they changed there design. But yes I will agree with you that smartparts has always added an appealing look to there barrels.
