I was going to attach a flash light for night paintballing on to the stock barrel of my tippmann 98. I was wondering how you would do that and what the best way to do that would be. I tried using rubber bands and string but when I fired 3 or 4 times the flash light would move to the left alot I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I use camo duct tape on mine. It works really well. If you want to protect the finish of your barrel just put something under the tape.

Well you could try going to a real guns store and getting a shotgun tactical flashlight mount. It should work. There are a few places around that actually make a specific mount. I am not sure, but try I&I sports.
NW makes a mag-light bracket for paintball guns..

I think a red-dot sight or a laser are the best options for night games though. I play mostly night games usually in total darkness and have both laser and red-dot myself. I block off the front of the red-dot so it can't be seen by the enemy and use the laser when I have a clean shot.
The laser I have(BSA) cost $30 from cabelas.com or cheaperthandirt.com

i wouldnt have a flashlight unless it was required to have it in the game, cause if your the only guy with a big bright light on yer gun yer pretty much a sitting duck, otherwise if you have a flashlight with a 1 inch diameter tube, and you have scope rings you could mount it securly and straight on the top of your gun with those.

Hey thanks for replying. I wanted the light for seeing when a guy is in a bush or something like that when a red dot scope wouldn't help. Also the shotgun light mount how much do those cost? I was thinking of getting one but didn't think it would fit a paintball barrel. Would the duct tape hold the flashlight on tight? I've tried a bunch of stuff and it was never tight.
Also it's a stock barrel I don't care about the finish.

Also I know that I could be the only with a light on but I don't plan on turning it on it is just required.

well me and my friends do 24 hour scenarios. Since it gets dark and people get tired we do shifts taking watches. See, we have like two "bases" and we have one flag on each. So when i go on watch i like to pop the light on and off when i hear something. Its not a good idea to keep it on. I've only had to use it like 4 times but it looks really cool.
