My Micromag is set up with a female and male stabilizer and I don't have any problems with it. When I sent it to Palmer's Glenn had the guts taken out of the Mag valve and I control everything from the male stabilizer. After I got it adjusted it shoots great. My son uses it now and I shoot my Blazer. He has not had any problems with it. The only problem is I have a lot of money sunk into the Micromag. But it is so light you can shoot it one handed without any problems.
I had heard that also but it is not true at least in my case. I think the Palmer stabilizer is one of the best products on the market and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted runs co2 and wants a good upgrade.
If you haven't all ready check out the E-Blazer on the Palmer Web Site.

Palmer makes e-blazers. They usually have them for sale on their website but for some reason the page is down at the moment.
I have 2 stabilizers on my Blazer and it works great, it especially helps with CO2. You can starve the marker of air but if you have the stabs set up correctly it is no problem at all.
