Hi Guys,

Has anyone found it necessary to get a .689 and/or a .691 insert? I've read the nerve comes standard with a .693 insert. Just checking to see others' experiences with needing multiple inserts.

Also, I've been looking at the Ricochet Apache loader as I don't plan on shooting faster than ~15 bps. I've read that the Apache has had some o-ring fitment issues with clamp style feednecks. Has anyone had any issues or experiences with an Apache loader and their Nerve?

Thanks.

just take the orings off the loader's feedneck

about the inserts, it might help accuracy and consistency some, but it's not a must

Yes, the Nerve comes with the 0.693 insert as standard. This was chosen to eliminate barrel breaks with most paintballs.

Matching the insert size to the paintball when using smaller paint will improve efficiency, and also consistency to some extent (consistency isn't as badly effected as it would be on a closed bolt marker), and can help to reduce curving shots by eliminating ball spin.

You don't really need to get all the insert sizes if you don't want to, but I would at least get the insert that matches the size of the paint that you use most often.

0.689 is a fairly common size, and won't be too bad for 0.686/7 paintballs, which are also quite common.
