I'm also looking for a top cocking bolt for my son's Rebel ... it's the basic version Rebel. We added a lot of my old mods to it, and now I need a better bolt.

Yeah there is a bob long bolt, but for like the rear cocking as I know there are no aftermarket bolts, there are some that might work, call 888 and ask them and they'll tell you. But don't get pissed if they tell you wrong. Funny thing with them I got my whole gun and everything from them and then this guy said that hed throw in a 32* gel grip for free but when I got the gun, as all you probably knopw that THEY DON'T FIT ON REBELS, you have to get a 45 grip!Anyways, enough with me....ummm.....just call them and ask they will help. They help me!

it's sweet buying stuff for the base models, see how many mods you can pack into it ... I did that with my piranah ... took the old parts from it and added to my son's rebel ... he's set with a proline dropforward, ACI expansion chamber, and my JT speedcollar for his hopper ... I think next we'll put a delrin bolt on it and then a new barrel.

hey i heard the at home mod of the venturi bolt is good
i done it myself
i cant tell the diff
but people say the home mod is better than many aftermarket bolts
remove the venturi (the star thing) out of your venturi bolt

I got an Xtreme and i screwed my old bolt and so I asked them at 888 and they said there is none for my kind of gun. For the other rebels there are. I want a delrin but I think im going to have to machine one. That is my new thing im doing! I think other bolts are too short. For the other versions you can get better bolts.

You tried oiling it, sometimes you'll here co2 leaking around your bolt if it hasn't been oilied.

umm if he isnt shooting why is co2 even GETTING to the bolt,it should be sealed int he valve, have you oiled your cupseal and valve spring?or ytu shooting a couple times, when you first gas it up it may take a few shots to seal the valve, but it isnt caused by the bolt, because when the gun is cocked the hammer isnt opening the valve so no gas should be anywhere else but the valve

I'm passing my 12" Tear Drop barrel down to my son. Great barrel for under $60.

i never said anything that it was the bolt, that is where it could be leaking and what I meant by oiling it was by putting it in where co2 is screwed in. Just take out the whole flippin venturi!

well if you want a good long thing to read so you completely understand it and which is very helpful is to go under the barrels forum.

IMHO ... size doesn't make that big of a difference. Range is controlled by velocity and accuracy is controlled by velocity + the barrel.

However, I've seen nothing to prove that longer barrels provide greater range. If anything, I'd avoid barrels longer than 14 inches.
