OK guys and girls heres the scoop. Ive played once. To put it lightly i got PLASTERED. It was bad. I have a Spyder i like it and i love the game its soooo cool. I play at a local indoor place. Its dark and loaded with buildings and bunkers. Its hard to tell whos who and whos on your team. Im over the deal of getting hit because i got lit up ive been lookin for a good newbie thread so i decided to start one. I need to know some good stratigies for Speed ball. What should my position be and how can i improve my skills as a player. I am pretty fast and i can find angles. But im not the steathyist guy. So where should i play?? Also what are some good tactics to get kills on a person when there behind a bunker and youve got no one to cover your behind. Also how do i get kills when im running in the open (the open is where i got hit a lot) also i seemed to have gotten masked a lot. Help ME!!! i want to get more kills.

THanx A lot for listening to my whining like a pansy :|

Eat ,Sleap ,and Drink paintball!! No but seriously. Play as much as you can.And when your at the field watch to see what the regulars are doing to stay in the game. Unless they are cheating of coarse! The more you play the better you will get.But it will not happen over night so be patiant.

if you got hit on the run alot it is probably because your team did not give you any cover fire to pinn some of the other playersd down. You said you got hit in the mask alot? Dont shoot over the top of a bunker lean out to the side to fire, it is easier to get somene if they fire over the top.

Alright here are some basics, they aplly to outlaw and speedball.

1. Snap Shooting- This is a technique where you pop out the side of a bunker for a split sec and fire off a couple rounds. Come out with your gun already pointed near where the target is. Don't always do this out the same spot in a bunker or they will line up on where you have been coming out, try to pop out a diferent side every time.

2. Flanking- While one of your teamates is tradin shots with guy, you come around to the side and shoot them from the side.

3. Bunkering- Lay down a hail of paint on some guys bunker so they can't get their head up. Then, while firing you charge their bunker and shoot them over the top or side.

4. Communication- Work out some hand signals with teammates.
Tell them where ur goin and ask for some cover. If you see a guy, let them know where he is, ask if they see anyone. The more fluid your team is the more likely you are to come out on top.

ummm take a good look at the field before you play get behind all the bunkers take a look around so u will know that other teams angles and how to set up on them , u should do this with the "team" your playing with

Check out the field before or after or when people aren't using it examining the bunkers and looking around at the others to set up firing lanes and such. Try playing one game in the back and watch what bunkers veteran players hit and why, try to observe a lot.

One of the best ways to learn is to sit out and watch good players. If something they do intrigues you, or seems really effective, ask them about it. THey'll probably gladly give advice, because you're stroking their ego.

me and my friend studied paintball video's he dl'd from kazaa, we just watched...god techniques, this one like 15 minuts long was this guys like video to apply for teams, he was on a team of about five...i gather the rest were eliminated, he moved from bunker to bunker so smoothly, keeping his body peredicular to the ground...but his legs would go aroung the things, he stayed down slid when needed alway firing paint, het bunkered like 4 people witht he help of his team
the proper way to bunker is to have 2 people one guy lays down paint on top and on one side the other lloks for a part of this guy sticking out, if he cant get a shot like that, u come up and go over the top if possible, the side is ok, but more dangerous

i do not believe it was completely your team that got you killed in the open.. especially if it happened more than once.

the reason you got killed in the open is cuz you were in the open. no cover = nothing to stop paintballs where as the enemy behind cover is just laughing as hes lighting you up... open spaces are what you would call a danger area, try to avoid them at all costs.

you got hit in the mask a lot cuz you are looking too far out around or over bunkers. stay in tight and get a good look but dont stay out too long and remember stay in tight.

if you are fighting someone and they run to another bunker do the same always keep them on their toes.
