I just got back from my first game with my A-5 and it received a lot of splatter. Any suggestions on either websites or documententation on how to clean the a-5? I have looked at the diagram in the manual and it is more confusing than building a house!:|

HAHA i thought the same thing when i looked at the manual. Dont even bother with it. I owned the gun for 2 weeks now and just took it apart last week. I just did it without no care. Best way to learn is doing it your self. Just take it aprat and dont be scared. Just remember where everything came out and you cant go wrong

ok I am not indorcing this metod because it dont want to be liable but just take the thing appart and remember where it all goes it's very easy... If you have trouble with the tippys you have a serious problem /luck

Yeah, just take apart the recievers, clean it, and make sure you remember where everything went. Also, make sure the ball detent stays in and the nut for the foregrip stays in as well. Mine kept falling out whenever I attached the other reciever.:)

And the tombstone latch spring can be a ***** if it gets out.

Its a lot more simple than it looks in the manual.

When taking apart your A-5, just take all the screws out, unscrew the screw in the foregrip, take it in half, then make sure everything internally is good. Make sure the detent is in the right direction when you put it back, and for the love of God take out the latch spring because that thing can be a biznatch if you lose it. The nut that goes in the foregrip is important, that is what confused me when I first took my A-5 apart. Just make sure that it is in there, and you're good.

its not that easy to screw up the detent once you look at it. i took apart my first A-5 today and i put it in backwards too just look at the piece if it looks a little hard to push down that way then its backwards.

Just make sure that the little part that looks like a tail is facing in the direction of the thread adaptor. I've put mine in backwards a couple times, it could damage the detent pretty good if it was like that for an extended period of time.

Ok so I cleaned it up and u guys were right that detent and tombstone spring was a pain. Now the detent I put it exactly as the instructions book/diagram looks...Is that the right way? here is the diagram:

don't they already have threads that explain how to clean your marker? Sure it might not be EXACTLY for the A-5 but it will still work. I do know however that I have seen threads that do explain how to clean your Tippmann in general. I'll try to find one

If it's just splatter, wipe it off. Or, if you are extremely lazy. take a hose to it, hook it up, and put pressure on high.....:dodgy:
