Tippmann's for Tournys??

Now this is not a give advice thread. This is a what do you think thread? K.
When I go to my local tournys people give me the usual. "You should sell your tippmann and get an Ion" I say nah I'm gonna stick with it for a while. What would you do in this situation? and do you play in tournys with a tippy?:confused:

Can I ask you a question? When you go to your "tourneys" Do you ever win?... I dont have any thing agains Tippys but In my oppinion they arnt as suted for touney play as other guns like spyders S-P Dye Proto ... ext, Also do you find that you are being out gunned a lot when you play against other types of guns?

unless u have really adapted to tourney play and incorperated your tippmann with ur style of play, u will get killed in a tournament. and i don't even think they fill co2 at tourneys.

In small, or mechanical only tournaments then yes. I've used mine in that context before.

For a big tourney, unless you've got a ghetto modded uber-E-bolt you're going to be at a major disadvantage.

If you had a well upped 98C that had either the Custom pro e grip or an e bolt you could get away w/ it. I mean 15 bps is the limit at most tourneys.

I have a tippy but i use my autococker in tourneys

agreed its all in the skill if you blow at comp speed ball you will not be extreemly good no matter how much paint you sling

at the tournys I play at they do fill c02, there are teams in the tournys that I play in that have players with tippys and are good. becuase I saw a kid who had an A-5 with just a double trigger on it and his team got to the semi-finals. its more of the skill you have more than what gun you have.

tippys are also heavy and the a-5 has a huge profile with the cyclone, thoes ares some more dissavantages
