I need a new valve spring for an Impulse I am fixing for a buddy, but I cant find one anywhere? Where can I find one.

I ve got one off my old valve. but thats kind of inconvinient to mail for just a spring..you could try phoning up smart parts and complaining..they might send you one. they sent me a replacement eye bit.

surprisingly, you don't "NEED" a valve spring. The air pressure is sufficient to close the valve after cycling. The spring is only there to assist with the initial seal. As long as you don't push the bolt forward (and subsequently push the valve pin out) while the gun isn't aired, you won't have a problem.

(and it might actually still seal if you push it forward unaired, but you'll waste some air that way)

i didnt know that...lol, it sounds like something i should have learned by forgetting to put the spring in after a cleaning... lol

Well, I cycled some air through it, and it worked, but I went to Home Depot, and got a spring for it, and it works great now. Thanks though.
