I thought with all the new guys here getting these sweet Rats (Yeah Baby! Kats love Rats!) I'd remind everyone just how nice it is to have your own chrono. http://www.pbreview.com/197/1/0/
Now I've got this unit and can tell you first hand it takes alot of guess work outta setting my Impulse up right. Here's a link to a good fair priced unit http://www.thepaintballstore.com/product399.html

Now I've covered the set-up end of it but this unit doesn't stop there! I take it with me for rec games(you'd be surprised how many guys are shooting hot!)and check everybody before we start, as well as tournies (it saves alot of time at the chrono station if you've pre-checked your f.p.s. with this first!)This is really worth the money for the time you save and the safety it provides!

If you guys can think of other things that the new guys should hear about, post away brothers!

Hmmm funny I am one of these new guys with rats and I have been looking at one of these. I was thinking a good pair of kneepads is something else on the list of gotta haves. What are the "seasoned" players opinions?

If you go down on your knees alot it is a great thing to have. I have a pair and my knees don't get brusied like they used to. I also have that Crono, and it is so worth the money.

yeah, I'd like to have a small chrono, to use at the house when i'm setting up my stuff ...

Knee pads: I got some Raven knee/shin pads. I had gettig hit in the shins. I don't do much sliding, but I do kneel a lot behind bunkers. I like the ravens cause the knee pads are thick and the shin guards are firm.

Another must have: Good drop forward. I prefer the KAPP Drop Zone II with on/off ASA. adjustable so you can place the tank where you want it.
