I play mostly rec-ball, and am looking for a new gun to move up to from my 98 custom. I have never ran into a situation where I am "outgunned." I want something that's light, that's reasonably fast, doesn't need a lot of maintenance, and small. I will probably have an Air America Raptor with Dye Drop by tonight, so let's assume I have an adjustable nitro tank. My price range is anywhere from about $300 to $500. That's somewhat negotiable though. I have looked into, lol, the Matrix, Impulse, Bushmaster, Intimadator, Mag, Cocker, etc. I basically like one gun one day and like another some other day. I have pretty much narrowed it down between bushmaster or mag now, though. I like them both for, of course, for different reasons. What are your suggestions? I am open to almost anything, so long as you give me some reasons you like one or the other, etc.
Thanks! :)

If you can avoid the Raptor, do it. The tank is heavy (as in, insanely heavy) not entirely consistent or high flowing, has no output guage, no on/off, and the one my teamate had has given him alot of problems before he dumped it. Aardvark also had one for a while, which he had one hell of a time getting to work as well. If you can, seriously try and get out of that deal man

How much would you pay for a Dye Raptor Drop Forward, and a Used Raptor 68/3000 (it may be 4500psi...)? Just wondering, cuz I am getting it for really cheap. It seems to be a good tank according to the reviews on here, but I'll take what you say into account. I mean, I can get a used nitroduck microreg (i think its micro, not adjustable) tuff skin for the same price I'm getting the raptor.

I dunno how much I'd pay, I really wouldn't use the raptor personally for it's reliability and weight issues. The Nitroduck Microreg I've not had much experience with, so I can't say. Nitroduck generally makes good stuff though, so they should be good. There is a nitroduck tank that apparently weighs a ton though, so I can't really say, if it's the microreg or something else. How much are you looking to spend exactly? If you want a cheap adjustable tank, that will perform really well, the AGD flatline is a good choice, the only downside being the really weird drop forward/mounting system it uses. Performance and weight wise though, they're quite good. Preset tanks from crossfire or PMI are also good choices if you're on a budget, it all really depends on what you want to spend

I did this shop owner a business favor in exchange for products, and he's giving me part of the tank free, and I have to pay for the rest (like $50). I really like AGD's Flatline, but I would have to pay
more (because it's new).
