Interesting that most boards are $20, but the Impulse baord is $100 :dodgy:. God I hate W.A.S.
(the company, not the board)

Probably cause impy boards sell a lot. Or there's somethng special that go into the making of the board fro imps..but I doubt it.

Supply and demand, barely anyone else makes competing products so W.A.S. can charge whatever they want. Its still teh gays :dodgy:

do you guys think the was eye will work with the new boards?

you guys aren't seeing the big picture, it's not a case of $20 vs. $100
AKA boards got cut to almost nothing.
Impulse boards got a %33 cut
Tippmann boards didn't get any price cut.
How many AKA guns do you see at the field, how many Impulses, how many Tippys. (asuming you play woodsball)...I can't remember the last time I saw an Excalliber.
In terms of supply and demand the Impulse boards are right there in the middle.

i talked to a WAS tech, he said the new board wont work on the impulse. i brought up that they are advertising it as working on all guns "past present and future". he gave me some crap that...well here
me - Will the new Micro Equalizer be available /compatible with the eye that come with the current equalizer board? Thank you.
tech - Yes, but the board will not work with the Impulse. The Impulse requires a full length board for the trigger switch (which is integrated into the board).
me-In the product description it says the board will work with any marker past, present and future. So its realy, all markers, minus the impulse.
tech - Technically, it would work just fine... but you would not be able to use it as there is no way to mount a trigger in the Impulse without a secondary circuit board. Some other markers are the same way, but we are making secondary circuit boards for those, but not the Impulse.
so I decided the WAS guys are dicks, but at least they make good stuff.

It wouldn't be mind numbingly hard to mount a microswitch from radioshack in the tray, I wouldn't be too harsh.

Given that I utterly destroyed the last microswitch I tried to do anything with (and had to send it to YDNA for repair) it's beyond my abilities.

im not mad at em for not making it for the impulse, its that they say you can get it for any marker, when you really cant. i just really hate it when people defend themselves with technicalities, to me, that says they are wrong, and they know it, but still wont admit it. i guess if he didnt use the word "technically" i probably wouldnt care at all.

What about using something like the pti frame that has its own micro switch config on it. Would it still be possible to connect te micro eq to that?

You don't even need that. Just take a flat piece of metal, plastic, or whatever else you can find. Drill some holes for the microswitch pins, and drill a hole for the mounting screw, then glue the switch to the piece. Done.
It's what I've been doing for four years now, in all my Morlock and Predator installs in Impulses.
