Should i stick with my old setep?
Spyder extra (old version green)
16 ounce co2
Dye boomstick 14 inch
OR should i get this?
Autococker that ranges $200
No upgrade in barrel
OR
Ion for $200
This is my main problem.
i heard if i get the ion, i need a nitrogen tank. Is this true?
Will co2 run good with the ion? Will co2 run ok with the cocker?
Which gun is better? Cocker with nitrogen, or ion with nitrogen?
Does cocker run well with co2?
Experienced players please answer these questions. Thanks

Nitrogen is HPA.
Ion. Just listen to us.

Ion is faster, none of the guns decide how accurate it is. The barrel to paint match decides that.

ION FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! And for cheap hpa, you can get a crossfire 47/300 tank for under 100$, but if your budjet is small, get a co2 tank w/ a siphon filter.

ion with hpa. get yourself a small aluminum 45/3k tank for $60
a cocker isn't worth the money, and if you were to sell it, you would get next to nothing compared to what you paid for/put in it.

True. But, those things are bricks when you get them filled. If you get all day air, just buy a smaller tank and fill up when you need it.

which nitrogen tank should i get for $100. That is the max i can spend on it.
Must be at paintballgear.com
I know little to nothing about nitrogen tanks, but i'm looking for one that is..
-light weight
-shoots a lot per fill
-looks small
-safe
-easy to use
-plug in and play
Which one should i get?
So now i know i should get the ion, but is the barrel good?
If not, whats a good barrel i should get if its not?
Any other accessories to make my sh!t that much better?
thanks a million for helping me

1. Don't avoid the swear filter
2. A small 47/3000 steel tank.
3. The barrel isn't that good, but it's good enough for you to play with.

If you want somethign light weight but still gets a good amount shots per fill, your looking at buying a fiber wrapped tank. The cheapest one you will find is a 68/3k which usually runs about $150.
an ion will run on anti-siphoned co2. If you have a pro shop nearby, go there and ask for an anti-siphon tube for your tank. Runs usually at the most 15 bucks. It's not nitro (HPA) but it will work on a budget. You'll get velocity spikes and it'll be difficult to play in cold weather, but I ran mine on CO2 for 3 weeks and it did fine. Then, save up for a Crossfire 68/4500 tank. The tank generally runs about 200.
To stave off any questions, anti-siphon is simply a tube installed in your co2 tank that pulls gas into your marker instead of liquid. If you don't have that in your co2 tank, DO NOT USE CO2 IN THE ION!!!
If you want a cocker, by all means get it. But be warned, there is a certain amount of tweaking involved in them. Some people find it easy, some find it difficult.
I'd suggest an Ion, get anti-siphon for your co2 tank, then save up to get the crossfire 68/4500.

Alright, I have one question for you: What's your budget and how far do you want to go into paintball? Because if you're going to be paintballing less than 10 times a year, I really reccomend just sticking with your Xtra...unless you have cash to burn.
If you're planning on getting serious, then the Ion is the gun for you. Run it on HPA (also another budget issue...you can get a steel tank for less than $100, but they're extremely heavy...about 5 lbs I think?). You could run it on Anti-Siphon, but your gun wouldn't be working to its potential as air efficiency goes.
Cockers are pretty much gone nowadays. Really, one of the best things you could do is research in our Pbreview forums on Air and the whatnot. There's several very informative stickies out there.

I second that.
And, I would say Ion and maybe a crossy 47/3000 or PMI 48/3000. Both around 60 - 70 bucks and are reasonably light. Then definitely save for a carbon fiber as long as your are serious about the game.
Regarding Cockers, think of them as playing hot potato. Sure they can be good, but you never want to get stuck with them in the end.

I have around $250-300.
Yes, i want to go serious, but there are a couple of things that could possibly stop from being serious.
#1. Fields (not near)
#2 Expensive (paintballs and everything else)
#3 Friends kinda stop playing (same problems)
But i'm trying to get them back into it.
i'm still looking at this cocker (vertical 04)

Whats the main difference with the prostock 05 and the vertical 04?
For right now, i'm getting interested in getting the anti on my tank if i get the cocker. Can i get the co2 tank filled up the same way with the anti on it?
OK, this is what i'm thinking of getting. WHICH ONE IS BETTER?
