Alrright i need help from prreview members in testing a scientific study on how good guns increase by as they rise in prise. Basically a stock gun with 10 xball paint balls per range of the to be stated lvl fired out of a stock gun at 10 30 and 50 and 80 ft ranges will help help determind the acuracy of various guns from a victor all the way up to an angel.
I need you guys to do the following tests and post you're results

Stock Kingman Spyder Victor
bronze paint

Stock tippmann Custom 98
Bronze paint

Stock Kingman Spyder Rodeo
Bronze paint

Stock Tippmann A5
Bronze Paint

Stock Kingman Imagine
Silver Paint

Stock Kingman Fenix
Silver Paint

Stock Ion

Stock Raven Nexion

Stock Raven Primal
Gold Paint

Stock Shocker

Stock Shocker Vision

i'll go shoot my imp, but do you mean silver shell paint or paint that breaks silver?

edit: and what does it matter? shouldn't they all be using the same paint?

He means X-Ball silver. And the accuracy would depend on the barrel and barrel to paint match not the gun for like the millionth time.

nevermind, my gun isn't stock and i don't have xball anyway.

Um, the spyder victor, rodeo, imagine, and fenix are all basicly the same thing with little changes. Also, the 98c and A5 both shoot fairly equilly.(I havn't shot either for a while though, so I don't know for a while):| I think you might want to lower the amount of markers too and have all the paint be the same.:|

Decent project. But it isn't really testing the guns...it's testing the stock barrels.

oh okay hmmmmm.

Also, you'd have to use Gold in all the guns for real results, since cheaper paint is usually lower quality. And all this would prove is that stock barrels usually suck.

Its a good idea, but you missed a lot of the other big marker companies.

Use the same type of paint for all tests. Measure the weight, and diameter for each ball, making sure they are with in a certain range of error. Which you will determine your self, but it has to be very small.
Once you get to high-ends, they are the same perfomance wise, the only differences are weight, looks, and looks.

Paint to barrel match is a joke. .691+ 4 lyfe.

higher end guns=better
lower end guns=(generalization)bad

Your test is flawed. You need a machine to shoot each gun so that they're all shot and aimed exactly the same. Plus, you'd have to use the same paint for all of them.

I agree. It's a interesting idea, but I am unsure on the intrinsic value of what data you collect.

give this quest up now. You will be sorely disappointed....

This has been done before. Distance is going to be about the same as the fps are about the same. The main benefit in price increases are the added parts ,quality, and/or efficiency you get. Other than that, they all shoot about the same. They push a ball out of the barrel.

Yes you should give this up. There are to many factors invovled that would make this test invalid.

Yes, the test would be very inconclusive. It is only testing stock barrels. Binx is right, they all do the same thing. The main difference is BB to EP, which doesn't greatly effect accuracy, when you are doing a controlled environment test, maybe when you're on the field no kick would help with your accuracy, but when you aren't really playing and just killing time (which is what this "experiment" is) Kick and no kick isn't going to really matter. Unless you're on full auto, which some of these markers aren't.
