Who os Bob Long?

Who is bob long? and why are the guns named after him so special?

Bob Long was a memeber and captain of team Ironmen. He started to make his own cocker parts in the mid nineties. Basically what he does is takes a stock gun, upgrades it to the way he wants it, puts Bob Long in front of the name and sells it. The only gun that is an original Bob Long Design, and its a great design, is the intimidator.

He's also in alot of peoples eyes the best back player to ever play the game, and he's definitely the best captain, as evident with the successes of the old school Ironmen. His new Ironmen are starting to play really well again too, winning the mardi gras and sorta shocking everyone. The guns that have his name are also made by him, and designed by him (though the millenium and defiant are slightly different versions of existing guns, and the changes are pretty much just cosmetic), the intimidator though, is his own custom design. Also, he's just a really cool guy if you have a problem with your gun and happen to call him up.

Wow, what diversity on these forums. We've got muck using the word "penultimate" and we've got people who can't post a new thread without spelling mistakes in the typos. I love the education system :) Oh crap, I just made a post off topic, uhh...

Onto paintball, I always found it cool how mr Long who was once a custom cocker kinda guy, ended up designing the intimidator, which is one of the fastest shooting guns around, kinda switching camps there, but that's the way paintball is goin these days. Good thing for the F-5 and the soon to come WGP electro trigger, keep the cocker around for a few more years :)

i have an intimidator for about 8 months now and i love the design,the rof,mostly the anti chop eye that does work...i use boomy or xcel or i use my whisper..always fun to play with.thanks to bob long bolts and other parts that have helped our sport grow........btw/timmys and defiants take cocker barrels.

hehe bob long has a store right by me and the ironmen go there lots of times to hang out, yet i havnt met them yet, hehe
