Okay, I use a tricked 98c, but the thing sounds like a cannon. I's like to make 'er a little quieter. I'm not in the market for buying more stuff right now, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

First of all, let me just say, I like your handle...Lord of the Rings fan, eh? Very cool.
Some mods that won't cost you much (if anything):
Bolt slam mod: Cut a piece of double sided foam tape to fit the front side of your rear bolt. Make sure none of the foam tape sticks out the sides of that bolt. Dab some oil on the exposed side of the tape to make it "not sticky." That alone will quiet your Tippy significantly. Check out:

Maybe it would be easier for people to help me if I told you what I already have. So here goes. . .

J&J Ceramic Barrel
Lapco foregrip
Lapco drop forward
Response Trigger :)
Double trigger
16oz Anti-siphon CO2
Rocket Cock
2000 Ricochet
and more, but thats enough for now. . .
Thanks for the help!

The mod that makes the biggest difference of all is replacing the sear spring with an orthodontic rubberband. I have a rocketcock (my experience is that it doesn't have much effect on reducing noise), a relatively quiet barrel, the bolt slam mod, and rubber bands instead of springs. My M98 is much quieter than most autocockers, and some electros. That isn't just a baseless exaggeration either. I went around my local field one day, and compared the noise signature to that of about 15 different gun setups.

Does the bold slam bod really to that much? because the bolt hits the pin not the face of the valve does it not?
Can anyone verify that taping some foam tape to the FRONT of the bolt actualy works for quieting it down? How about the back of the bolt? would anything matter on that size?

I did the bolt silencing mod and yes, it does quiet your gun a little, it makes the gun sound softer and gets rid of the annoying ping noise... that the bolt slam makes....another mod is you can put a piece of rubber or foam underneath where the bottomline hooks in (the spot where u screw in your bottle) ....man i cant think...well unscrew the screws in it and stick it there then put it back on.. Check out my flatline mod too its pretty cool.

So what do you do exactly? would putting a peice of rubber on the front of the bolt (the one closest to the oring) work? do you need to cut a small hole for where it hits the pin? because im asuming after fireing like 500 times it would just wear out anyways...
and i already have an O ring on the back of my cap.. would putting rubber on the back of the bolt help evan more? or probably not do anything?
Thanks for helping me out!

there are 3 things that help the most.
1. taking out the cocking pin and wrappin teflon tape around it so that when you put it back in it does not move.
2. packing the space around the sear spring and the empty place where the e-bolt board goes with toilet paper so that no sound can echo.
3. taking your feed elbow off and putting cloth tape on the bottom where it contacts the gun so that the hopper shake is eliminated.

The biggest upgrade for quietness is a barrel....
The Carbon Fiber is the quietest barrel I have ever shot on a m98.
The J&J Ceramic is pretty quiet also.
