I had all of my family members write an e-mail to em on their personal e-mail accounts since i made em all watch it with me. Also i got a few of my friends to watch and write e-mails too so i hope that helps.
Question, do they measure how many tv's are watching the program, even if its in the same house?? i have 8 tv's in here, and i was gonna turn em all to the show but didn't know if that woudl help :-p
Every few hundred recievers or so installed, one of them has a monitoring device that tracks what channel is being watched and when it's tuned into. And they actually pay the owner a little bit every month, since they're effectively tracking what they're watching.
Thus, since there aren't a whole lot of them out there, the best way to show them that they need to show more on TV would be the following:
1) EMAIL THEM!
2) Buy Vault. And I mean that. If they notice a jump in sales while the NPPL stuff is going on, they're definitely going to capitalize on it even more. I don't care what you drink (I personally prefer water and grapefruit juice...), but go ahead and buy a couple and give it a try. I know I'll be buying a few today.
3) IF you know of anyone with one of those cable-monitoring boxes installed, contact and ask/bribe them to watch every single ESPN2 NPPL program.

Yeah I have to say that I enjoyed watching that on ESPN last night...but one thing they should have done is maybe used that headcam a little more since that was pretty cool. Yeah but I'm guessing they didn't because seriously why would lang want that backpack hanging off him by like 3 feet when hes trying to play...but besides that i enjoyed it immensly :)

I just emailed them and I have to say this is a great idea and I'm supprised that people would actually come up with an idea like this. Also I'll try to buy some vaults if I can, but I'm not exactly sure where to get one. I'll try my gas stations and stuff.

That show beat the crap out of the ultimate arena one. They are going to get alot of emails, seeing that a thread like this exists on pbnation. I got it recorded so i can watch it again. Its nice to see the naughty dogs w/o shockers.
Iv bought like 10 vaults already.

I got this from a friend on another site who wrote ESPN a letter about US Paintball Championships:
First of all, thank you guys so much for all of your awesome support in spreading the word about episode #1 and contacting ESPN.
I have now heard back from the production company regarding the ratings and ESPN's response... here is exactly what his email read:
"Heard .44 from ESPN- they are thrilled... the feedback from your guys blew them away- we need it to continue next week so they will be convinced we have a hit."
So once again I am going to ask you to keep this insane level of support up for Episode #2. The production company actually visited PBNation and was blown away by your posts. You have proven that paintball is a sport and a lifestyle. You have shown corporate America that you are brand-loyal and will always support those who support the sport.
Thank you again for all of your time and extra efforts - you have made all of us at the NPPL very proud! Let’s now work to make sure we keep that momentum up and better than ever!!
Everyone definitely needs to write ESPN a letter. Also, they are encouraging everyone to write a letter everyweek.

We got a response from Camillie Baker of the NPPL and ESPN:

A .44 means that about 500,000 people tuned in to watch.

I have been ballin for over 17 years now and have never received or heard so many POSITIVE comment's about our SPORT! From people at work (I am a customs broker) to friends who laugh at me for playing a kids game with kids (I am 30 years old).
I was at a sports bar Friday night after work for happy hour. The show was re-run and on a few of the TV’s. People at the bar were talking about it and I began to answer questions. I also run an outdoor field in Buffalo New York and have now gained some customers!
We need to keep up the good fight and send your message/e-mail the link http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?page=contact/espntv
PS Second show is on tonight! ESPN2 at 10pm est.
