I just got a raptor from a friend and got the co2 tank filled and was shooting in my backyard. First, when I pulled the trigger, it would sound like an automatic like three fast blasts. Secondly, whenever I tipped the barrel forward, the paintballs would fall out the front. I tried to just keep the gun tilted back and then the paintball would load like three at a time. What is going on! If you have any information e-mail me xcntry86@aol.com

and the part about the full auto burst I think sounds like a bad sear but I don't know too much about open bolt blowbacks, I've always had a cocker.

hammer lug huh! well first off, it's not the hammer lug because the Raptor doesnt have one. The full auto effect is due to a worn sear, and as for the balls rolling out of your barrel, it's your ball detent.

hey sorry atleast I was close humor me! I don't know to much about these guns but I was pretty close I mean I did mention sear and a hammer lug has something to do with it(well on a cocker anyways) and I was right about the detent! lol

It's no good... he still flunks the course:P Yea as far as the balls rolling out like theyre part of some buddy system, you can pretty much attribute that to the ball detent (in the Raptors case the detent is wire, like the one on the Merlin Cocker bodies or F4 Illustrator). Now I've seen rapid fire bursts attributed to 2 things

1 - it could just be the sear is worn out like Silent Knight suggested
2 - I've seen Raptors go into FA-like modes when the connecting pin between the bolt and striker breaks. I doubt this is it because you make it sound as if the gun still fires, just sparatically.
