Hey. My friend is getting a tippmann and he will most likely get a 9 or 12volt revvy with it. He also wanted to get a new barrel now should he get a Boom Stick or a FlatLine?
And if you think that there is a other better then a Boom Stick or Flat-Line please post.

Tough choice... The whole flatline thing is a matter of preferance.
I would probably go with the boomstick as a first choice then after I get the money I would get a flatline. This way you have the flatline but if you do break a ball it is hard to clean so you can just take it off and use the boomstick the rest of the day. It takes too much time to get it set just right and have it run at its full potential so if for some reason you have to take it off you would be glad you have another barrel to through on instead!
If you look in my sig you will notice I don't have the flatline. That is because I don't have the money yet and I bought another barrel first!

Lapco bigshot or J&J Ceramic..

I wouldn't suggest either. The Boomstick is overpriced for what it is. Tell your friend to pick up a Lapco Bigshot for $50. Its a lot cheaper, and will give comparable, if not almost identical performance.

Flatline if you want to play back.
And can afford good to better paint.
I use to use a nightstick before that.
All depends on how you wish to play.
As to cleaning a flat line get a BE plastic squeegy that rotates inline to bore. rotate push down barrel till your fingers hit barrel and then pull out. This is quicker then using the flex that came with barrel and now only takes 15 secs. (After trying to ask other player to wait while i try to clean my barrel :( )

how about 2 12" or 14" barrels.
2 bore sizes for 2 types of paint leaves you with less chops and more accuracy.
besides, the flatline is WORTHLESS in the wind.
and the boomy, while nice, is overrated.

Gotta say the Bigshot. Half the price of the Boomstick and the Flatline ($50)...similar accuracy to the Boomstick, better than the Flatline...quieter than the Flatline, but louder than the Boomstick. All things considered, the price really takes it for me. Tell your friend that if he has the money for a Boomy or a Flatline, take that money and buy a Bigshot and another really good upgrade.

I have 2 friends that had boomsticks, both of them broke paint like a mofo. No idea why, they tried different paint and broke like, 3 balls out of every 10.
Bigshot is good
i use a 32 Degrees Nyte Stikk and it works great

i think a bigshot and an autospirit...price of either of the other two for both of the lapco's, and you get a med/small bore combo...i like my bigshot, i only shoot big paint though :D

Boomstick... Flatline breaks so much paint, its not funny.

I have been shot by a flatline quite a bit and the one thing I noticed is that they almost never brake past the normal range of another barrel!
