I need to find out how many impluse guns owners have problems with the stock feed tube. My hopper will not stay in while playing I must tape it.
Yes i made sure the hopper wasn't on a taper. There just isn't anytype of clamping device built into the feed tube.
Is this just a way smart parts is helping the optional part manufactures get some of our money along with there pockets.
Here is smart parts reponse to the question
Sir, the loader tolerances are all different, that is why your loader might not fit, we do have twister feed tubes
you can purchase, that covers the different tolerances.
thank you

yes, this is a normal thing, and Ive had to do that with mnay different hoppers, elbows etc on many different guns. If you dont want to buy the clamping feedtube, then just tape it. Fortunately, my new revy fits my Impy just fine, and I actually have to work to get it in. I am willing to carry my gun by the hopper that bong is so good. Here is an idea:
Take the stock feed neck, and drill 3 holes in a triangluar positioning around the perimeter of said feed neck(drill 3 holes in it, near the top, so if you stuck your hopper in you could see it through the holes) Now go and get a tapping device and tap all 3 said holes(tap 'em all, nuff said) and insert screws of the same size as the threading on your tap(get the right screws, and put em in) with loctite (blue) tighten whilst your hopper is on. That might work for you I would advise you not to uxe super tiny screws, as it might be harder to find a tap for them. Good luck. (oh, anbd use allen head grub screws.)

just be very lucky that smart parts actually sent you a response. they don't answer alot of their emails. the hoppers have different sizes do to JT being bought out by brass eagle. brass eagle isn't the greatest company and changes alot of things. you will either have to buy a strangler feedneck or a new revy shells w/thicker walls. or do what impy said. i wwould rather just buy the strangler. they are very nice. but buy it from www.e-paintballoutlet.com. they might even put it on for you if you ask nicely

I hear ya on the place to buy, FOM set my imp up so Yes to that. I just don't belive this hopper tube thing but onw must try to keep the big guys straight.
The twister is your choice? I hear I don't want to go with a shorter tube because of possible ball breakeg.
Thanks to both for the reponse
