I am trying to up the bps on my 98c. I have friends that have bought the Evolution II and loved it but I want to hear some other opinions. Which hopper/feeder is the best?

Do you plan on keeping the 98c for a while? Do you play speed or woods? If it's woods play, and you plan on keeping it for a while, buy the Cyclone. It's the best loader IMO of the three. Otherwise I would go for a Halo or Reloader B over an Egg2.

exactly, if you get an RT lube up the rear bolt, linkage arm, and the front bolt. then replace the trigger spring with a softer one. i stole one out of a clickey pen and cut it to size. having it lubed and the trigger modded will get u alot more speed off the RT. i have a reloader B and the only problem i have with it is that it double feeds quite a bit and even triple feeds sometimes, i wish the 98 had a better detent.

it all depends on my experience, they all feed good, but if you don't like messing with batteries and keeping that up then the cyclone is the way to go, becuase it just uses waste air to run anyways and it is even the same price, with the halo it uses the most batteries to run, and i think is alittle heavier than the evo.hope this helps

for a 98c, your best bet would be the cyclone feed. the reloader b, evo2, and halo will all feed faster than you will ever shoot with a tippy. get a cheaper hopper like a revvy, apache, or reloader2, those should be within the 98's speed. most high end hoppers are fairly large, and with the 98's offset feedneck, your gun may become unbalanced.

Isn't there a detent mod?

Thanks for the advice. I just ordered the rt a week ago. If I get the cyclone feeder will there be enough "excess gas" to run it and the rt at the same time?

The RT and cyclone will eat up air like mad so I personaly like the Halo b or Empire B. I believe the new Empire B 2 has a pressure adjustment to help avoid double feeds on markers w/ weak dents. Any way I use my Halo B on my set up and wouldn't play w/ out it.

well no if you have the WAS board in a tippy like me then it can shoot 30BPS and well only hoppers that feed that fast is halo and Q loader that i ahve a reloader 2 because i dont run 30BPS waste of paint i shoot turbo at about 12-15 BPS so that hopper works fine for me

Well for one, I doubt that any tippmann can shoot 30bps. The internals just wont allow it. Also all of those loaders except for the cyclone are a little overkill for a tippmann. I would say go with the cyclone.

^^ 98c max cycle rate is actually around 40bps, of course this is hell for the internals

Egg. Like previously stated, the Cyclone+RT would eat gas up fast. Plus if you buy the Egg, you could use it on future guns.

Nothing can shoot 40bps, I repeat nothing. Now 40cps is possible, but not really on a tippmann. The highest BPS ever recorded is 36bps, and that was on a mag. But check me if I'm wrong on that.

embire reloader b
your kidding right? i use an eggolution 2/evolution 2 and its just as good as a halo..the bps on a tippmann doesnt cap much past 15bps so an evolution with a y-board will do..or get the cyclone from tippmann..you need not spend 150 dollars on a loader.

Look, even though the cyclone feed seems temppting i would point you toward a battery/eletric hopper because if you wanted to get an RT-kit, in my opinion, the RT-Kit + Cyclone = GAS HOG. so look toward the halo and the EVO II. Good Luck With Your Decision Making.

i turned my tippy 98 Pro E to 25BPS and full auto with CO2 not PBs and it can shoot that fast. i would put paint but hopper 12-15 BPS and 25BPS dont work well.

25bps on HP gun using co2 oh yeah that's believable. The best speed you can get out of any gun is around 26-28bps due to the 9 volt battery not having enough juice to recharge. My 98 is semi and i've had that thing starting to ice up on me before. And my brother whos 98 was also semi he could starve the gun using co2. But never had the that problem when he used my HPA tank. But i would go w/ the egg2 w/ either a y or z-board.
