I'm despertly trying to find a barrel for my US5. It needs to be 14" inches maximum! Also it MUST be accurate at long ranges (150 FT). I need sugestions!
Thanks :)

barrels dont effect range unless you have a flatline or apex

just get a j&j and you will be fine

Turn up your velocity for longer shots(don't get kicked out). Get a proven 1-piece barrel. Stiffis are nice, CP, J&J.

Okay, in that case... what is the grouping of the A5 Flatline? Or Apex?

While you reply... I'll be doing more homework on these barrels:)

They are both inaccurate. The Flatline more so than the Apex. If you tilt the flatline at all your balls will get weird spin. At the range where the flatline and apex are supposed to work, 150+, the balls are travelling so slowly that it won't break or people will cath them.

Get a JJ Ceramic 14", and make sure the paint size and barrel bore size are the same.
That will give you top results.

Actually a perfect ball & bore size will be perfect. So a kit would be better. The J &J also loses efficiency do to all the portings on it so it would be harder to get your velocity up,not super hard.

Any marker shooting at 280 fps will shoot similar distances as the one next to it, shooting 280 fps. There are many variables that need to be taken under consideration. The only exceptions to this rule are flatlines and similar barrels.

Accuracy is determined mainly by internal barrel condition, paint quality, marker pressures, weather, maybe paint to bore match and finally and #1, personal aim.

I dont know... After A LOT of thinking I'm starting to lean towards the Apex... That's not saying that I'm not gona get a J&J Ceramic and Bigshot, when I'm done I'll have more differnt barrels than you can count, LOL

Thanks guys!!!

Aww there so cute! Death!
Go with the bigshot out of all those, out of personal experience with the apex, I'm very disappointed, not practical and bad accuracy.

J&J ceramic is a really accurate barrel, buy one... best cheap barrel around. if u want an ultra cheap barrel thats almost as good as a ceramic barrel then get a CMI Tru-flight barrel. they are loud but very accurate, and the no-spin projection rifling allows the ball to keep its velocity better than flatlines and stuff.

P.S. flatlines are horrible barrels, they shoot far but like that one guy said, they float paintballs at people, and they are not accurate at all.

If you get the Apex, be careful with it because my cousin has one and he cleaned it out with with a cotton swab and it broke. The Apex works on a system of rubber paddles and if you break one you might as well throw it away. I also know people who have had them for a long time now and love them.

If you get one good barrel there's no reason to get more. Down the road, after you get your apex and have spent more money on a new barrel(s), think to yourself "Why didn't I listen to them?"
