I don't understand how exactly that would make a difference, you still have the bore of the original barrel there. I could see maybe if you were going from a smaller sleeve to a bigger bore barrel maybe, but what if it goes from a bigger sleeve to a smaller bore?

No its not too good. It only has a 2-3 inch back which is bad. Most people use six inch atleast and I have 7s and stuff. A paintball takes 6-8 inches to accelerate and the uses the rest of the barrel to stabilize and stop spinning. So if you only have a tight seal for 2-3 inches then it won't be as good as a tight seal for a full 6-8. I would just get an empire kit or JJ edge kit you can get them for like 70-80 only a little more than the kit you linked.

this isn't meant to be a full back. it works more like the backs on stiffi and sly kits, which pretty much just hold the ball in place until it is fired. if you want to save money by buying a .693 barrel and the compression kit, that's a decent bet. there are probably kits for less, though.
