When you say rifled....are you talking inside rifled bore like an Armson barrel, or rifle pattern venting, like the Smart Parts barrels have?

The rifling on a paintball barrel does not have the same purpose as rifling on a firearm barrel. The rifling in a paintball barrel is just another method of porting. It does not put a spin on the ball like a firearm barrel does.

Smart Parts says their barrels are "rifled" as a marketing gimmick. They really mean that their barrels are spiral ported, which is still effective, but is not real rifling.

Real rifling has no buisness being on a paintball barrel. The Armson barrels aren't even truly "rifled". The grooves are just cut there as a method of venting gas as described above.

I haven't heard of SP internally rifling the bores on thier barrels....

A paintball cannot be rifled. Its like spinning an egg; the inside fluid creates fritction and stops the eggs from spinning (try it!). SP porting simply makes the barrels super quiet. Thats what I like about them.

like i said internal rifling does nothing and is just a gimmick some say.i wasnt sure if it was rifled inside or spiral ported.
