I have noticed around a 40 dollar mark up more for the cammo, is there more to this Tippman custom 98, than JUST the cammo?
Also, what do you recommend for "Upgrades" for this product?
Found out the Electra might be a little to much over-kill for me. :)

i guess its just the price you pay to be that different..since every tippmann 98 custom and their mother own the black ones(that is me too!) its just a personal preference....are you sure you've shopped around enough? perhaps you can find a place that sells em for the same price..a local field here had a camo 98 custom w RT kit as more expensive than the custom pro w RT kit..he said its cuz it was camo..it was only like a five dollar difference..guess there is a price to be different. if you have a black one just get the graphics kit if you want a camo one that badly..

You last two posters are Christians? Sweet. Luis Palau has a pretty sweet "Xtreme Sports" type of presentation associated with his ministry...along with one of the Baldwin brothers.
What Christian hardcore groups do you like liltippmannguy?
Oh, and to stay on topic: Ultimately, it's up to you. I would pay that much markup for camo personally...I'd probably just paint it myself. (Which is what I did back in the day...before they had those custom camo Tippys.)

Ok the camo is the ONLY diffrence ok. And the sad part is its a agressive camo ment for 1 very specific type of tarain. Its not very good in any other type, which means its a rather poor choice of camo for most people. I personlay am running a5 with the silver finish and love it as it stands out in the staging area. Every mod is easealy seen in the staging area and i find no one sees me in the bush form a silver gun. If you want u can also buy that camo sticker kit after the fact as well, or get your marker custom painted (expensive), or even paint it yourself if you are good at that kind of thing.

Painting your own gun is not to hard if you know what your doing. Costs between 15-25$ to do depending on how many colours etc. I did it to my A-5. I turned out OKAY (like you can see the imperfections close up but from like 5 feet plus it looks SICK... it does the job)

Painting is always a good alternative if you get the black marker, I painted my 98 for about $5, I probably should have bought some primer and clearcoat too but whatever- it came out fine just doing several coats on the sanded reciever halves.
What works even better but can get to be a pain is...the thing that fixes EVERYTHING...DUCK TAPE
Just go out buy some 5 dollar roll of camo duck tape and slap it on and BAM, 5 minute job and your entire gun is camo
Just be sure not to go over the screw holes and air adjustor, kind of a pain to clean though

A tippy with camo is the exact same as a tippy without it.
[In my personal opinion, however, any kind of camo is a waste of money…there is not much that can hide a guy running around with gun…]
Off topic: Dude! Fellow Christ-core fans! I noticed a lot of Christians paintball… I wonder why . Any of you guys listen to Haste the Day, P.O.D., Underoath, Demon Hunter, or Blindside? And is there a forum on this website where we can talk about this without getting the thread locked of off-topic-ness (yes, I made that word up)?
