The ex chamber takes all the regulated air and lets it collect while cahging to a gas, so in reality, it just unregulated the air, and goeas back to to whatever goes into the gun. Search the forums, its been gone over many times:)

There is absolutely no reason to use a reg and an expansion chamber, if you own a reg, then just sell the chamber.

what is better than and exp. chamber or regulator?

Regulators are much better IMO.
The reason you do not put a reg before an x-chamber is because a regulator's whole purpose is to regulate the pressure, but an expansion chamber expands the gas. So oviosely if you put regulated air through the x-chamber it will be unregulated because the expanding does that.

I reccommend a palmers reg. Very very good.

I think you you ment to say "regulated CO2"..if it was regulated air..the pressure wouldn't change in an expansion chamber.....BUT CO2's pressure would ...or has the posibility to change..

I may be wrong here, and probebly am, but technically if you have a fore grip/x-chamber, that would be similer to a vacuum chamber, you see were i'm going? u know the ones on the the spyders and psuedo spyders. technically the pressure would change and rise to a higher psi. that said, you would be able to lower the presure, and go LP. shockers are made that way, they are so big, and well big, that all the space thats in the body allows it to run at a lower psi, thus open space does make psi in line after the reg. conclusion;
yes the x-chamber will afect the psi if it's placed after a reg, regardless of air source.
maybe???

NO an expansion chamber after a regulator on a marker that is using N2 will not change the pressure....at all....all the x chamber will do at that point is act as a reservior of air in front of the valve.....volume and flow are what allow you to run LP....IE: MORE air ..faster....at a lower pressure....(thats the basic's of LP)...
NOW co2 can expand....(the reason for an expansion chamber in the first place)....so the pressure c02(Liquid or in gas form) enters the expansion chamber..can change..because as it warms and expands...more gas is fighting for the same space....and your pressure will incress.....
this is the whole idea behind an expansion chamber....to keep liquid out of the valve chamber by giving it a place to expand...and to help reduce hot shots and freezing of internals
